With the support of Beeline, a hackathon was conducted for agropreneurs
The aim of the competition is to support the identification of agropreneurs and agron-innovators for the implementation of innovations in the field of agriculture, namely in the direction of food, agro technologies, agro-tourism and agroculture. The competition was held in 30 different categories in Georgia and as a result of the 48-hour hackathon 8 finalist teams appeared in front of the competent jury with the presentations.
The winner of the local competition of Future Agro Challenge became the team "Qvevri XYZ", which produces a traditional Georgian pitcher with a more sophisticated, modern technology. On 7-11, September the winner will travel to Greece to take part in the the Future Agro Challenge Global Competition - the major international agropreneurial summit, where it will be able to get advice from world-class mentors, to meet potential investors and clients, to test new market opportunities. According to the statement of Guri Koiava, the co-founder of the Tbilisi Start-up Bureau and the co-organizer of the Future Agro Challenge: "All teams that are in the top three are the authors of the interesting projects, especially the" Qvevri XYZ ", which starts production of the traditional and modern wine products globally" .
