5G on the Cellfie’s network!

5G is a fifth-generation wireless network technology that promises a completely new experience for users. It features much faster internet, about 10 times more bandwidth and lower latency compared to its predecessor technologies.

Cellfie implements 5G using the advanced technology of Nokia and technical standards defined by the European Union, ensuring high quality and security. Cellfie also holds the license to use the frequency resource required to fully implement the 5G network.

You can discover more about 5G in the Q&A section below.

5G is a fifth-generation wireless network technology that promises a whole new experience for users. It is characterized by much faster internet, around 10 times more bandwidth (enabling more devices to connect in the same amount of time) and lower latency than its predecessor technologies.

5G will significantly change and take industries such as: healthcare, education, business, agriculture, infrastructure and others to a whole new level.

Speed: 5G could potentially be 10 times faster than LTE.

For example, while 4G can download an average film in a few minutes, 5G can download an average film in a few seconds.

High bandwidth: It will be possible to connect and serve multiple devices at the same time and with the same quality.

Low latency: The connection time between the server and the device will be significantly reduced.

The 5G network coverage will extend to densely populated areas, tourist areas, ports, airports and major motorways. The 5G network coverage commitment is for 7 years.

Currently, our customers can already use Cellfie's 5G internet in:

  • Tbilisi
  • Batumi
  • Kobuleti
  • Gonio
  • Kvariati
  • Shekvetili
  • Gudauri
  • Bakuriani
  • Zugdidi

Work is actively underway in Tbilisi and all districts will be covered gradually.

To use 5G, the subscriber must be in a 5G coverage area and the phone's menu must have 5G option.

To use 5G, the device/smartphone must support 5G. This can be easily checked in the phone's menu or on the manufacturer's website.

Radio spectrum: 10 MHz frequency resource (2X5 MHz), within the Uplink 703 - 708 MHz and Downlink 758 - 763 MHz resource; 50 MHz frequency resource within the 3550-3600 MHz resource.

5G internet can be used together with existing Cellfie’s tariffs/packages. The main thing is that the user must be in a 5G coverage area and the smartphone must have 5G support.

When building a 5G network, operators are guided by technical standards defined by the European Union, which ensures high quality and security. In addition, 5G technology does not generate energy that may pose any threat to human health.
