A new stage in the development of mobile technology has begun in Georgia – Cellfie  Mobile, a Georgian mobile operator serving more than 1.3 million customers across Georgia, today celebrated the introduction of 5G technology in advanced telecommunications at an official ceremony in Gudauri.

The 5G technology, which offers users a fundamentally new service experience, is already fully available in Gudauri and Bakuriani, as well as in two districts of Tbilisi - Didube and Didi Digomi.

The Cellfie 5G network was activated in pilot mode in Tbilisi on November 21, and more than 5,000 users have already used it.

It should be noted that Cellfie is implementing 5G with the equipment from the world's leading technology company Nokia, an agreement with which was signed in August of this  year.

Under the agreement, Cellfie is developing 5G throughout the territory of Georgia. Cellfie also holds a license to use the frequency resources required for the successful and full implementation of the 5G network.
