Cellfie Among 25 Companies Worldwide to Join the Business Integrity Working Group

Cellfie, the Georgian mobile operator serving over 1.3 million subscribers, has become a member of the Business Integrity Working Group (Think Lab for Business Integrity), created in collaboration with the UN Global Compact and UNODC. A total of 25 companies from around the world were selected for the group, with Cellfie being the only Georgian company. The company is represented in the working group by its Ethics and Compliance Manager, Ia Mameishvili. Cellfie is also a member of the UN Global Compact in Georgia.

The initiative aims to address critical sustainability issues by defining best practices and developing effective tools for businesses. The group's work is focused on updating the practical guide on anti-corruption ethics and business compliance programs, which is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

The development of the anti-corruption ethics and compliance manual began in May 2011 with the participation of various organizations, including IBA, ICC, WEF PACI, TI, the Basel Institute on Governance, and the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD. At that time, the G20 Anti-Corruption Working Group tasked the OECD, UNODC, and the World Bank, together with other relevant organizations, to consolidate existing guidelines and materials on anti-corruption compliance in the private sector. In 2013, UNODC published the practical guide to ensure access to practical recommendations, including steps, approaches, and examples, which has since been widely used and serves as a key document for developing the global legislative framework.
